The Makings of a Man

The Makings of a Man is a collection of blog posts for Black males on surviving, living, and winning. Dr. Q.N. Gardner, esq. will plan to tap into the social and political climate rising in the Black community, particularly as it relates to Black males. This intends to be a must-read blog, not only for Black male readers, but the women who befriend, parent, partner, and love them.

The Makings of a Man plans to answer a collective hunger for new direction, fresh solutions to old problems, and a different kind of conversation---from an animated, young writer. This blog tackles issues related to cultural, political, practical, relationship, social, and spiritual matters along with rants such as ending violence against women and girls.

This blog also features an appendix filled with useful readings, advice, and resources. The Makings of a Man is a blueprint for those aspiring against the odds in America today.

*Disclaimer*.....I'm not a doctor, I have no PhD, I am not a professional writer (yet); however, formal training is that of "life training." I'd like to refer myself as a "doctor of life". I am in my mid-20's.....and reside in Charlotte, North Carolina. I'll type what I feel and try to keep it interesting. I'm aware that I have quite an animated style of writing, so lets see if anyone else agrees.
